![]() Third Luminous Mystery: The Proclamation of the Kingdomġ. This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory, and his disciples believed in him. And the steward of the feast said to the bridegroom, “Every man serves the good wine first and when men have drunk freely, then the poor wine but you have kept the good wine until now.” (Jn 2:10)ġ0. the steward of the feast called the bridegroom. When the steward of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from. He said to them, “Now draw some out and take it to the steward of the feast.” (Jn 2:8)Ĩ. Jesus said to them, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them to the brim. (Jn 2:7)ħ. Now six stone jars were standing there, for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons. His mother said to the servers, “Do whatever he tells you.” (Jn 2:5)ĥ. And Jesus said to her, “O Woman, what have you to do with me? My hour has not yet come.” (Jn 2:4)Ĥ. When the wine failed, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” (Jn 2:3)ģ. ![]() There was a marriage at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Second Luminous Mystery: The Wedding at Canaġ. The Spirit immediately drove him out into the wilderness, and he was in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan. And behold, a voice from heaven, saying, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” (Mt 3:17)ġ0. And when Jesus was baptized, he went up immediately from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. But Jesus answered him, “Let it be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then John consented. John would have prevented him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?” (Mt 3:14)ħ. Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan, to John, to be baptized by him. John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” (Jn 1:29)ĥ. will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.” (Mt 3:11)Ĥ. “I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me. And John preached, saying, “After me comes he who is mightier than I, the thong of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie.” (Mk 1:7)ģ.
